Ecliptic

Stars have spatial relationships defined by distance and orientation—this inspired me to create The Ecliptic, a geocentric sculpture that uses astronomical data to map the stars in their true positions. Drawing from right ascension, declination, and light-year measurements, the work features 175 crystal star points representing the twelve original zodiac constellations. Suspended in space, they form a dazzling, circular configuration—a physical manifestation of how these constellations exist in the cosmos.

CIRCLE OF ANIMALS

Using the same astronomical data as The Ecliptic, Circle of Animals delves into the internal relationships between stars within each zodiac constellation. Each of the twelve wireframe forms—Ram, Bull, Twins, Crab, Lion, Virgin, Scales, Scorpion, Archer, Sea Goat, Water-Bearer, and Fishes—embodies a distinct zodiac archetype. These sculptural configurations render the star patterns as individual spatial structures, offering a dimensional view of the constellations.
